Hi There, You should check out Jeffrey Hamelman's book called Bread- A Baker's Book of Techniques and Recipes. It is a standard reference book for professional bakers written by an amazing man (and baker). Zero pretence and great insight into sourdough baking. Lots of inspiring personal reflections from Jeffrey through each chapter as well!

I just tried this recipe and love it! The only issue however is my cookies do not look like yours do. The icing sugar is a yellowish color when the cookies are done baking. Taste great, but I'm not crazy about how they look with the yellowish icing sugar on them. Any suggestions how to stop this?

Hi Marie,
I got them at a local downtown Toronto pet supply store, but they are these: http://www.rcpets.com/rcpets/index.php/browse/category/id/RC_Pawks
More socks than boots, but they're pretty great. She pulls them off now and then when she steps on them but they generally stay on pretty good.
